Parowanie pierwszej kolejki powinno być opublikowane w poniedziałek do końca dnia, a najpóźniej we wtorek.

Do tego czasu nadal można dołączyć do zawodów (przed opublikowaniem parowania). Zatem sprawdźcie, czy jesteście na pewno na liście, a jeśli się wahacie, czy zagrać, to wciąż jest to możliwe.

Please read the updated rules. Walkover is now 4:0 and there is no difference who starts the match, however potential 7th game of the Play-off match must be started by the player who is put as first in the "Current round" section.

As there are no matches already played, I believe such a change is acceptable and I hope it will be better for the competition.

I also would like to comment in short how groups were created. I divided players into 4 pots: A - 8 best players who joint the competition and had best performance in this year World Championship, B - the players who had highest places in the last IRP season, C - other players who competed in the IRP (or EL) also in previous editions, D - other players who were not included in previous pots. Then all players were sorted using random mechanism of spreadsheet.

IRP Cup consists of two stages: I – group stage and II – play-off.

The parameters of all IRP Cup games are following: 10 minutes per player, swap2 (“swap” option in Kurnik/Playok website), 15*15 board, no undos, ranked game, public table.

The points 6 to 10 of the RULES OF THE QUALIFICATIONS TO THE INTERNET POLISH NATIONAL TEAM (“IRP”) are valid also for the IRP Cup.

I. Group stage

In the group stage participants are divided into groups consisting of 3 or 4 players.

Every player plays one match with everyone in his/her group (round robin system). A player gains 1 match point for each won match, and 0,5 match point for each drawn match. There is no match point for the lost match. A particular match consists of 4 games and each player starts two of them. In case of a walkover (+:-) the result is 4:0 and if there is a double walkover (-:-) both players get 0 points and 0:4 score.

Two players advance to the main play-off stage from each group. All other players compete in the B play-offs.

The criteria to determine the final order in the group are following:

1. The highest number of match points. 2. Game points difference in all group matches. 3. Game points gained in all group matches.

If two or more of the players are equal on the basis of the above, the final places will be awarded using following rules:

1. Head-to-head points between the players concerned. 2. Game points difference in the group matches between the players concerned 3. Game points gained in group matches between the players concerned. 4. Additional match (or matches).

II. Play-off stage

The play-off stage is a double-elimination tournament. Play-off match consists of 4 games and each player starts two of them, however in every play-off match the winner must be determined. In case of a draw after 4 games, additional 2 games shall be played. In case there is still a draw, the final game shall be played and it shall be started by the player who is put as first in the “Current round” section of the pl.euroleague.cz website. If the final game finishes with a draw, the player who has not started the game is appointed a match winner.

All winners of the first round play-off matches are competing further in the “upper bracket” and all losers in the “lower bracket”. Every loser from further “upper bracket” matches goes to the “lower bracket” and every loser from the “lower bracket” is eliminated from the tournament.

The winner of the “upper bracket” plays the final match of the IRP Cup with the winner of the “lower bracket” and if he/she is successful, becomes IRP Cup winner. In case the “lower bracket” winner triumph in this match, another match is played and its winner becomes IRP Cup winner. In case of any double walkover, both players are automatically eliminated from the tournament and their potential next opponents have free point in the following round.

The B Play-offs are organized similarly as main Play-offs, with the participation of the players who have not qualified for the main Play-offs.

Regulamin IRP zaktualizowany zostanie w najszybszym możliwym terminie, niemniej jednak należy założyć, że zawody prowadzone będą z zastosowaniem formy play-offs / reguły double-elimination (wyeliminowanie z turnieju po 2 porażkach), być może (zależnie od liczby zgłoszonych graczy) poprzedzone rozgrywkami grupowymi.

The IRP Rules will be updated as soon as possible, but it should be assumed that the event will be played using a play-offs / double-elimination rule (possibly due to the number of players), perhaps (depending on the number of registered players) preceded by group games.
